Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

• The submission has not been previously published, nor is it currently under consideration by another journal (any exceptions have been clearly explained in the Comments to the Editor).
• The research adheres to all applicable ethical guidelines and standards and appropriate institutional review board (IRB) approval has been obtained and documented, if required.
• All authors meet the criteria for authorship as defined by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE).
• A plagiarism report from Turnitin or iThenticate has been generated and is attached with the submission.
• The manuscript adheres to all the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
